The Fife-based company, SM Bayne & Co Ltd
who own Bayne’s the Bakers employ about 400
staff, and currently has 48 shops in central
Scotland. As part of a planned expansion,
Pride were delighted to, through a
competitive tendering process, be awarded
the contract to fit-out an existing Ford’s
outlet and convert it into a new Bayne’s
shop in the village of Currie, on the
outskirts of Edinburgh. The project took a
scheduled 6-weeks to complete, on-site.
Work included full internal refurbishment
and alterations to the existing shopfront.
The interior is fitted out in oak veneer
with accents of red and cream to reinforce
the company’s branding. Part of the exterior
is fitted out in dark hardwood timbers from
sustainable sources.
